Heifer Poster Revision

The top is the revised version of my project. What is different is the diagram. Also I made the title smaller and "This is how it works" box has become a box and an arrow.

Skunkling

I just thought this was a really cool type face. I'm really into Nostalgic designs, which is why this font caught my attention. The person who created this was a student and designed this font for a contest. He won, and is top seller now. Check out his website at:

Plus I found this cool poster on Design Sponge's blog. I think it fitting for our major:

InfoGraphic Correction

The left is the original and the right is the corrected version. I've changed the spacing on H8TER in the bar graph, and added the percentage. Also, for the statistics, I have reverse the gradient from dark to light to light to dark.

Heifer Foundation

For my info graphic project, I am planning to do it on the Heifer Foundation which is an organization that is dedicated to help families from third world countries get out of poverty. They do this buy giving livestock to families, and are trained to take care of it. One animal helps provide some resources that can be used to feed or even make some extra money. The Heifer foundation takes this quote very seriously,
"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach him how to fish you feed him for a lifetime".
Here is a link to the story of one family that was helped by this program.

You can give some money to help buy a share of an animal or flock of animals for a family, or you can purchase the whole animal. Let's say if you were feeling generous, a whole cow would be $500, and if you were tight on money, you can help out with $50 for a share. Not only are there cows to buy, there are llamas, flock of chicks, bees, sheep, water buffalo, rabbits, and pigs. Click here to give!

Letterpress Stationary

I would love to experiment with letterpress! I want to combine my illustrations with graphic design, and I think letterpress would be an awesome thing to do.

InfoGraphics

What attracted me was the font and the minimal use of colors.
Very cool illustration.
No drawing what so ever. But it's great that the artist had to hand cut this and take a picture of it.
